BIOGRAPHY AND VITAE OF PROFESSOR TRUNG LE |
||
![]() |
Biography of Trung Le Mr. Le immigrated to the United States with his parents from Vietnam at a very young age and he has been living here in California ever since. Coming from a collectivist culture has its strengths and weaknesses. The strengths are: strong family values, wide supporting social network, and strong educational and financial support. The weaknesses are: lack of individuality, autonomy, freedom, identity, and authentic life and career passions. Unlike most of my peers, he decided to become a teacher, and not just any teacher, but a philosophy teacher. The reason for this is to inspire others through the study of philosophy and to live a more productive and passionate life instead of the one that is dictated to us by our superficial, status seeking, consumer driven society. Mr. Le was educated at the University of California at Berkeley, San Jose State University, and Diablo Valley College. He currently holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Philosophy from San Jose State University. He has taught courses in philosophy including Introduction to Philosophy, Introduction to the Philosophy of Religion, Logic and Critical Thinking, Critical Thinking and Writing, and Moral and Political Philosophy at San Jose State University, De Anza College, Diablo College, and San Jose City College, all located in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA. He is currently teaching at the community college level, inspiring students through philosophy and giving them psychological and academic advice. Mr. Le is the founder of the Le Foundation and is the founder of Academic-Services.com, a private college admission consulting business. To see his autobiography, click here.
